After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

• Identify early indicators of burnout and secondary traumatic stress in oneself and in colleagues.

• Apply at least two structured self-regulation strategies during a clinical workday.

• Describe the physiologic basis of the clinician stress response and its effect on clinical judgment and communication during difficult encounters.

• Appraise the suitability of an artificial intelligence documentation or decision support tool for a defined clinical task, and state the verification required before acting on its output.

• Identify when a business associate agreement is required before protected health information is entered into a third-party tool and identify contract provisions that warrant review by counsel.

• Describe the three pillars of Healing Intelligence and how presence and clinical excellence reinforce one another in patient care.
